The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, houses the headquarters of the metropolitan government diTōkyō, which governs the 23 districts, cities, towns and villages that make up Tokyo as a whole.
The design of the building must have looked like a computer chip, while the splitting up seems to recall a Gothic cathedral.
The building consists of a complex of 3 structures.
The building of Tokyo Metropolitan Main number 1, a 48-story tower while the other two buildings are the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly Building 8-story building and the Tokyo Metropolitan Main number 2, which has 37 floors.
